New Zealand won the Toss and decided bat first in 1^stODI against India Played at McLean Park, Napier. Openers of New Zealand didn’t started the show well and New Zealand lost 2 wickets on just 32 runs.
But 3^rdwicket partnership of Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor gave the hope to New Zealand and helped a lot for New Zealand to score 292-7 in the limited 50 overs.  Corey Anderson played extra-ordanary innings in last overs and scored much needed 68 runs on just 40 balls.

India had a lot batsmans to chase this total. This was not looking a tough total for India. But New Zealand bowlers made it really tough for Indian batsmans by their superb bowling. Althoug Virat Kohli played awsomely and bravely and Scored 123 runs. But his century was not enough to win this match. No other batsman of India stayed on crease to deffend the target of 293. Skipper MS Dhoni also scored 40 runs but at the end , Indian all team out on just 268 runs . India Layed behand 24 runs and lost the 1^st ODI match againt New Zealand.
